A Short Biography

            Jayar Jackson is a writer, producer, and internet TV editor for The Young Turks talk show.  He is involved in the planning, producing, and video/audio editing of the show’s content that appears daily on YouTube, one of their partners.  He also writes, produces, and hosts three segments on the show: Sports With "Who Shot" Jayar Jackson, Are You Down with Jayar, and Garbage TV.

The Young Turks is an irreverent, progressive, political, and entertainment talk show that began on radio, but has since made its rounds as the nationwide morning show for Air America Radio, consistently growing to become a live show through the internet TV stream hosted on its website and on aired mornings on XM Satellite Radio. 

Jayar graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in History & Social Sciences with a minor in Annenberg’s School of Journalism.  While attending USC, he also ran on the track team as a 110m high hurdler.  He has covered high school football for the LA Daily News and the San Diego Chargers for Pro Football News Network.  His work appears
regularly on AOL News Bloggers and at Three Brothers & a Sister’s website. 

Jayar presents a balanced creative spectrum ranging from sports,  entertainment, and music, to
politics, sexuality and race.
