Stop Playing Dress Up!! 10/13/2010
Richard Iott, the Republican Congressional candidate from Ohio has found himself in what most political candidates would consider a no-win situation with less than one month to go until the election. It turns out that Iott, the all-American family man that he depicts himself as on his website has an unusual hobby of dressing up like a member of the 5th SS Wiking Panzer Division, a unit in the German army during World War II. This Nazi group that he and his buddies took pleasure in mimicking has made him toxic enough to be eliminated from the “Young Guns” website headed by Reps Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, and Paul Ryan. Eric Cantor even went so far as to repudiate Iott and his affinity for Nazis on Fox News Sunday, once he was pressed to do so by Rep Wasserman-Shultz. READ THE REST!!!! 1 Comment As midterm elections approach in America, hollow concerns are being raised by politicians and political talkers to be used as campaign issues against their opponents. Since being an elected official in this county no longer means representing the American people, the tactics used to fool them into voting for a particular candidate have been getting more and more outrageous. When our lawmakers have no interest in carrying out policies that will solve the real problems in the country such as education, fraud in our banking system, and actually changing the way healthcare companies rob customers to their graves, they have to go back to emotional schemes to sway us. READ THE REST!!! Are Obama's Opponents Racist?? 09/18/2009
Former President Jimmy Carter sparked a few extra flames in the bellies of many Conservatives when he cited racism as a driving force behind much of the opposition to President Obama’s proposed policies. Rep Hank Johnson specifically referred to South Carolina Rep Joe Wilson’s infamous “liar” outburst toward the President on the House floor as racist enough to give the KKK enough confidence to openly intimidate the way they did in the past. With a renewed hatred for an always despised opponent in President Carter, Conservatives all over are pushing back on the controversial statements with claims that Democrats are doing nothing more than playing the race card. READ THE REST!!! George W. Bush Drops a Religious Bomb 12/12/2008
After nearly 8 years of disappointing and frustrating domestic and foreign policy, George W. Bush has finally found a way to offend even his most strident supporters. His interview on Nightline focused on his religious beliefs and interpretation of the Bible. Collective gasps and groans could be heard across the country when our President shot down the perceived beliefs that he took the Bible’s words literally, that evolution and Christianity can co-exist, and that people of other religions probably pray to the same Supreme Being he claims to pray to. Ted Stevens...Felon 10/27/2008
Ted Stevens, the Republican Senator from Alaska for the last 40 years has been convicted on seven counts of corruption for accepting a string of home renovations from an oil executive and lying about it. Each count carries a maximum of 5 years in jail, tallying his possible time in the slammer at 35 years, which will never happen. The 84 year old politician has stubbornly and defiantly declared his innocence as he still vows to win reelection next Tuesday against Mark Begich. If he does pull off the victory despite this nagging little PR hit, he will be able to serve, as there is no rule keeping felons from serving in the Senate. | ArchivesOctober 2010 CategoriesAll |
